Criminal Justice

The Criminal Justice Project, initiated by Dr. Ronald Pope, Ph.D., has become a regular project, conducted every two years. The goal of the project is to help both Russian and American students majoring in law and criminal justice understand the differences between the legal systems of their countries and learn the value of law in uniting people from both countries. The Russian group is typically represented by law students and two faculty members (E.A. Pankratova, and N.V. Zhilenko). The Americans includes university students majoring criminal justice and political science and university professors. As a rule, the project involves such activities as introduction to the universities, round-table discussions of legal issues, a tour of the city, and informal communication.
